What We’re Working On
And What We’re Working to Change
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
On March 11, 2021, the President of the United States signed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) into law to provide resources through the new Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CLFRF) to local governments to respond to the public health emergency caused by COVID-19. The U.S. Treasury Department announced that Cranston will receive $4,600,000 in federal funding as part of the American Rescue Plan Act.
We’re working to ensure that the city’s residents have a say in how that money is spent in our community.
COVID-19 Survey Results
Cranston Forward surveyed community members to provide ideas and priorities for the city’s anticipated COVID-19 recovery. The survey is the first step in providing the City of Cranston recommendations on how Cranston residents would like the city to prioritize the spending of COVID-19 recovery funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Cranston Forward surveyed residents, and compiled the responses into a report that has been presented to City leaders to inform their decision-making as to how the city’s recovery can best meet residents’ needs.
